[Overview]

The institutional population of the Philippines reached 402,483 as of 01 July 2024, accounting for 0.4 percent of the total population of 112,729,484 persons. This reflects an increase of 36,281 persons or 9.9 percent higher than the 366,202 institutional population posted in 2020.
