Topic Overview and Census Taking Experiences of the 2020 Round Censuses

This session will provide overviews and experiences on census-taking in the 2020 round including the impact of COVID-19 on preparatory census activities, field-based enumeration, census methods, and challenges. It is also expected to be an opportunity for census-takers to exchange their 2020 round census experiences.

Topic Data Collection and Processing

Discussions regarding census data collection such as approaches to implementing field surveys through operational control systems, and new opportunities for increasing quality can be included in this session.The session will also provide opportunities to share the processing of all census data, which encompasses everything from the receipt of questionnaires to the creation of an accurate and complete census database.

Topic Census Evaluation

This session covers census evaluation of the overall activities such as census planning, implementation, budgeting, and accuracy evaluation of data such as post-enumeration surveys (PES).

Topic Data Dissemination

Methods of dissemination to the public by seeking ways of publishing census results in a timely and accessible manner with high data quality standards, including experiences with online (PC, mobile) and offline data services, and public use sample data (PUMS) will be discussed in this session.

Topic Data Analysis and Utilization

In this session, the application and experience of census data analysis and utilization will be presented. An analysis of population dynamics, demographic characteristics, socio-economic characteristics, SDGs with population census, and the status of households and housing can also be included.
