The Population Census Conference

The Population Census Conference started in 1971 at the East-West Center (EWC) in Hawaii, USA and has been conducted at intervals of every 1.5 to 2 years. The conferences were held to share experiences and techniques for the collection and use of population census and related statistical information among the countries of Asia, the Pacific and America. Ever since its first conference, this series of conferences has been providing a platform to share knowledge and expertise obtained from planning and conducting censuses in the region over 50 years.

The 33rd Population Census Conference is presently under internal review. The schedule and hosting arrangements are under consideration and will be announced once finalized. Further information will be provided in due course.
