The Population Census Conference

The Population Census Conference started in 1971 at the East-West Center (EWC) in Hawaii, USA and has been conducted at intervals of every 1.5 to 2 years. The conferences were held to share experiences and techniques for the collection and use of population census and related statistical information among the countries of America, Asia, the Pacific. Ever since its first conference, this series of conferences has been providing a platform to share knowledge and expertise obtained from planning and conducting censuses in the region over 50 years.

The 33rd Population Census Conference is planned to be held in September 2027 in Bali, Indonesia, under the theme “Innovations for the Future NSO: Integrating Census, Administrative Data, Geospatial Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence for Informed Decision-Making.”
